It is our pleasure to introduce you to the Cook Islands’ dedicated country portal, developed by the Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems Division (FAME) of the Pacific Community (SPC). This secure platform has been designed to provide you with streamlined, real-time access to all information regarding SPC FAME’s support to the Cook Islands.

Through this portal, you will be able to:

  • View the status of your technical support requests, including progress updates and the SPC FAME experts assigned to each request;
  •   Explore key activities delivered in recent months;
  •   Access information on major events and capacity-building initiatives planned for the year;
  • Engage with interactive dashboards to monitor ongoing collaborations and outcomes.

We are pleased to launch this platform with a focus on the Member Request Management System and Capacity Building activities. Over time, we will expand its features to cover other areas of our work together.

The Cook Islands, with its vast exclusive economic zone and strong tradition of community-based fisheries management (CBFM), plays a leading role in sustainable ocean stewardship in the Pacific. SPC FAME is committed to supporting your efforts to strengthen coastal fisheries, enhance aquaculture opportunities, and sustainably manage your oceanic resources, aligning with your national strategies and the collective regional vision.

We are excited to start this journey with you and look forward to your feedback as we continue to enhance this platform to better meet your needs.

We are pleased to present the Cook Islands Training Dashboard, developed by SPC FAME. This dashboard provides an overview of all fisheries and aquaculture training activities delivered by SPC FAME for Cook Islands officials since 2016.

Through this interactive platform, you can:

  •   View training data by year, category, participant name, and subject area;

  •   Track trends in training delivery modes (in-person, virtual, hybrid);

  •   Analyse gender participation and identify the most common training topics covered.

This dashboard has been developed to support your efforts to strengthen national capacity, enhance technical skills, and advance sustainable fisheries management and aquaculture development. It is part of SPC FAME’s commitment to providing transparent, real-time information on capacity-building support provided to our members.

We invite you to explore the dashboard, filter and interact with the data, and use it as a resource to inform future training priorities and planning.

Capacity Building Dashboard

The dashboard has been designed to help Cook Islands fisheries officials:

  •   Monitor the progress and status of their technical support requests;

  •   Track the completion rate of requests over time;

  •   Analyse trends in support areas and improve future planning and engagement with SPC FAME.

This platform aims to enhance transparency, strengthen collaboration, and ensure that SPC FAME support continues to align with the evolving needs and priorities of the Cook Islands.

We encourage you to explore the dashboard and use it as a tool to guide your ongoing work with SPC FAME.
